Ridgecot House is situated on the West Coast of Barbados in the parish of St James. Holetown is 0.5 miles to the south, with a wide range of shops and some excellent restaurants (including Olives, The Mews and The Tides). The house is just 200 yards away from one of Barbados' most beautiful stretches of white coral beach. There are no private beaches on the island so you are free to wander as far up and down the coastline as you wish.

Directly opposite Ridgecot is the Royal Pavilion hotel. The hotel and the neighbouring Glitter Bay are two of the best known and most luxurious hotels in the Caribbean. A range of facilities are available to you here, including shops, beauty salons, hairdresser and two excellent restaurants (try afternoon tea at Royal Pavilion) A two minute walk to the north is one of our favourite restaurants, Lone Star - a more fabulous setting would be difficult to find.

Car hire is easily available and can be arranged for you in advance at a discount, just let us know. Alternatively a frequent bus service runs from Bridgetown to Speightstown all the way along the West Coast road (the buses really are quite an experience!!), with bus stops for north or south close to the bottom of Ridgecot's driveway.
